Many of my readers may be saddened (**fingers crossed**) to not see this week’s Neury Thursday posted. That’s because I’ve spent the past 13 hours working on these two pictures; From taking pictures on the microscope, to retaking them, to swearing at photoshop, to taking more pictures, to giving photoshop the bird, I present you these: two photomicrographs showing Fos protein expression in the VTA (A) in response to acute systemic ethanol treatment. Little Fos expression is present in the VTA in the saline control (B) while Fos expression in the SCN did not differ between the ethanol and saline control groups.
